Itinerary for the Las Vegas and LA Tournaments July 21st-31st 2008

We will be leaving from Denny's in San Leandro off the 580 freeway, Exit 150th (same meeting place as the others) on Sunday July 20th @ 11:30pm. Address is 15015 Freedom Ave
(between 150th Ave & 151st Ave) San Leandro, CA 94578.
We will then travel to Manteca, to the Walmart off the Main St. Exit off the 120 freeway by 1am, then head down the 99 freeway to pick up more players in Clovis at about 3:30am from 168/Fowler. There is a Savemart store there and a shopping center.
We will be leaving in the late evening - early morning to try and beat as much of the heat as possible. Please make sure that your child has had dinner/breakfast before boarding the bus. We will stop after Bakersfield so the kids can buy their own food on the way to Vegas for lunch. Have them pack some waters and fruits if need be.

We will be arriving in Las Vegas around Noon on Monday afternoon. We will get settled into the homes, then check into the tourney headquarters and watch the NCAA videos. We will then travel back to our homes to BBQ dinner.
3 Teams will participate in the Adidas Super 64 Tourney and 17's White will participate in the Reebok Big Time Tourney.

We will be departing from Las Vegas on Saturday July 26th to head for LA. If all teams are done, we will be leaving in the morning early afternoon from the homes and head for LA. If we a have a team or teams still playing, we will wait until the completion of their last game and head to LA directly after they are done.
We will then head for LA sometime on Saturday and head to the same Residence Inn we are staying for the Three Stripes Tourney. We will check into the hotel, clean up, and head tover to LMU to check into the tourney site. After we will head out for dinner.
The tourney will begin on Sunday July 27th

The hotel is about 6 miles from where we are playing from one site we will be playing at. It will also be playing at other facilities, so please be aware that you will need to leave early for game times, especially with LA traffic.
The website to find the schedule will be www.doublepump.com . It will be located under the Best of Summer Tourney. All teams will be in this tourney.
We will be leaving according to when the teams last game is complete. In past, some teams finish earlier than others, and so we sent home those players on the bus and the others left at a later time. The earliest a team will be finished will be Tuesday the 29th. The latest will be Thursday July 31st. We will ensure that your child contacts you letting you know when they will be departing for home.
This is a long 11 day trip. Please make sure your child has enough money for either entertainment, extra spending money, extra food money and so forth. They may also need money to wash their individual clothes if necessary.
*** We will not be doing any special arrangements for kids still in summer school. If they need to get to Los Vegas , they will be on their own if they do not ride the bus. If your family plans on traveling down and are taking your kid, please make sure to communicate with your coach that you are doing this.
